Dublin Stabbings Update: Parnell Square Attack that shocked Ireland December 7, 2023 Geraldine Irish News </p> <h2>Dublin stabbings update: Parnell Square attack that shocked Ireland | Newstalk</h2> <p> The mother of a young girl injured in the Parnell Square school stabbings two weeks ago has thanked people for their support.</p> <p>The five-year-old girl was left critically ill after the incident outside Gaelscoil Coláiste Mhuire in Dublin city on November 23rd.</p> <p>Two other children, aged five and six, were also injured in the attack but were discharged from hospital afterwards.</p> <p>A carer, who was stabbed as she tried to shield the children, was also hospitalised.</p> <p>In a statement posted on a GoFundMe page, the mother of the young girl still in hospital thanked everyone for their generosity over the past fortnight.</p> <p>“Dear all, thank you so much for the incredible gesture and kindness you have shown our family during these troubled times,” she said.</p> <p>“Your thoughts, prayers and generosity have and will go a long way.</p> <p>“Our little girl has shown incredible strength and [is] still here with us.</p> <p>“We don’t know yet what lies ahead as it is still early, but she is resilient and limitations will not stop her. Thank you so much.
