Secretary of War Pete Hegseth delivers his State of the Force Address at Marine Corps Base Quantico, outlining his vision for a major transformation of the U.S. military. Hegseth emphasizes warfighting, readiness, deterrence and what he describes as a return to a warrior-focused culture. He also announces six major initiatives: a new Autonomous Warfare Command, Project Meridian, Fortress America, a proposed new military base, expanded university partnerships for officer training, and an elevated Office of Religious Affairs. The address also includes Hegseth’s criticism of the media and his broader case for restructuring the department around future warfare and military readiness.
