Israel strike in southern Syria kills 13 in deadliest raid in months

At least 13 people have died in southern Syria after Israel’s deadliest raid on the country in months.

A local news agency reports Beit Jinn residents “confronted” Israeli troops, which led to a firefight.

Bodycam footage shows Israeli soldiers targeting a Lebanese Sunni Islamist group that fired rockets at them during the war in Gaza.

Children are among the dead, and Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned what it called a “war crime” by Israel.
