MOSCOW CLAIMS ADVANCE:
Russia claims a major battlefield gain in eastern Ukraine. Moscow says its forces have seized Kostiantynivka, a key city in the Donbas that has withstood Russian assaults since the first weeks of the full-scale invasion. Ukraine has not confirmed the claim.
UKRAINE HIT OVERNIGHT:
A strike on Sumy killed at least four people and injured 27, while attacks elsewhere in the Sumy region and Zaporizhzhia claimed six more lives. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Moscow of waging a campaign of aerial terror.
POLAND, UKRAINE SEEK TO EASE TENSIONS:
Poland and Ukraine may be turning a page. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said he sees signs that Kyiv is ready for constructive dialogue as the two allies work to ease tensions over historical grievances.
