China has accused the United States of threatening the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait. This comes after a US warship sailed through the seas that separate Taiwan and China. But US Navy’s 7th Fleet claimed USS Curtis Wilbur was conducting a “routine Taiwan Strait transit”. The strategic transit comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Beijing.
