US President Donald Trump on Friday signaled that America could reconsider its commitment to NATO if the alliance fails to support Washington’s strategic push for Greenland, saying the military bloc has been “dealing with us on Greenland.” Asked directly whether the United States could leave NATO over the issue, Trump replied, “We’ll see,” calling Greenland vital to US national security and linking it to future missile defence plans. His remarks are expected to unsettle European allies, particularly Denmark, which controls Greenland and has repeatedly rejected any transfer of sovereignty.
