Wells Are Running DRY And It’s Spreading All Over America

📘 My backup water plan for when the well runs dry is in my book: https://epiceconomistbooks.com

Wells are running dry across rural America as the drought settles in, the kitchen tap sputters and the ponds shrink to cracked mud. When a private well fails, there is no utility to call: the family is left hauling water, paying for a deeper well, or watching the livestock and the garden go without. Thirteen rural households filmed it themselves, from a South Arkansas family watching their well dry up in the drought and a well that went dry after eight good years, to a new well dug 700 feet down, a pump that died after one year, a creek in the Ozarks that dried up after thirty years, hay at $200 a bale and a barley crop lost to the drought.

In this video, we look at what these families are living through, what a dry well really costs, and why a backup water plan and stored water matter before the well goes quiet, for American families, their homesteads and their emergency preparedness.
