Albanese’s wage rise promise ‘merely an objective’

Australia News

Sky News host Chris Kenny says Labor Leader Anthony Albanese’s pledge to raise wages by 5.5 per cent has gone from an election promise to “merely an objective”.

Mr Kenny said the opposition leader’s wages push would make just 0.4 per cent of a difference to wages as inflation currently sits at 5.1 per cent, and Mr Albanese later changed to advocate for a 5.1 per cent pay rise.
