“BA.2.86 may be more capable of causing infection in people who have previously had COVID-19 or who have received COVID-19 vaccines.” This is a direct quote from the CDC website, which was recently pointed out by retired nurse instructor and popular British YouTuber Dr. John Campbell. So, for those in the back, this means that, according to the CDC, being vaccinated may make you MORE likely to contract the new COVID variant. Is that how it’s supposed to work?
