Microsoft Excel Tips and Tricks

In this Microsoft Excel video tutorial I show you how to avoid having to repeat calculations within a formula. In my example I have to repeat a COUNTIF calculation within an IF statement. The COUNTIF calculation is needed in the logical test and in the value if true argument. If you don’t want to create a helper column then you either use the LET function (Excel 365 users) or a name formula (any version of Excel).
