Across the country, thousands of people turned out to protest against Australia Day. It was the biggest protest on the public holiday in Sydney’s CBD with over 10,000 people marching. In Melbourne, a crowd of 35,000 people took to the streets backing Indigenous calls for a change or abolition of Australia Day.
