World Tourism Day
September 27 is World Tourism Day. This year, the day is celebrated under the theme “Rethinking Tourism” and will be seen as an opportunity to rethink how we do tourism for a more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient sector. The past few years have brought on detrimental damage to the tourism industry in the country in addition to the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 also saw the infamous July riots which left a substantial amount of damage, not only to businesses but to livelihoods as well.
